They say travelling is about experiencing something new. Well, even after all my travels so far, this still holds true. Today's new experience was accidentally soliciting the services of a prostitute……………
After 14 hours on the train from Buenos Aires to Cordoba, I was quite keen to find a hotel. After my first two attempts failed, due to the hotels being fully booked, I was quite appreciative of an offer by a women (not the skinniest, or youngest, or prettiest women I'd ever met………) to take me to the hotel she worked at. Habitation for $5! Very cheap, what I didn't understand her saying, that she was included in that $5! We hadn´t covered prostitution in Spanish school. She walked me a short distance to a very run down Residencia and I was shown a small room with bathroom. The residencia was in very poor condition, but when the they only asked for $2 for the room it was bargain of the trip. I said I'd take it and put down my bags. So far so good. Then the women closed the door………… with her in the room. Ok, this is a little weird. Then she pulled back the blanket on the bed…………. Ok, she knows I've had a long trip and wants to tuck me in…………… Then when she insisted that I start to take my clothes off, is when I ran out of the room screaming LO SIENTO, NO ENTIENDO! The sploken tense of this sentence is all wrong, but at the time I wasn't in the state of mind to conjugate the verb. So I grabbed my bags and got the hell out of there. ahhahahahahhaha
