We were looking to cover a few miles to get closer to Guatemala, so Acapulco looked like a good destination. Headed out the main bus terminal on another crazy local bus ride. Got out there and found out that the bus for Acapulco didn't leave till 8:30pm, so we caught a local bus to the next main town, Manzanillo, to kill some time and hopefully head out to the beach. 7 hour bus ride later, after travelling all over the country side there was definently no time for the beach. Did get to see some of the coast from the bus and it looked pretty good, some big swell.
At the bus station we meet a Candian couple who knew spanish, which came in handy when we were trying to buy our bus ticket to Acapulco and they refused to sell us one. Turns out the bus was sold out. So we bought a local bus ticket for Lazaro that woudl kill most of the night. Said goodbye to the canadians and jumped on the bus. 2 mins later they jump on as they had been told that there bus had broken down. We got talking to them and found out they were heading for a town called Zihuantenejo, a small fishing port that was really nice. Sounded goog enough so Rees and I decided to get on board.
Got into Lazaro about 4:30am. Had to find another bus terminal, did, and caught the bus to Zihuanterejo. We arrived bout 6am, pretty tired and the canadians took us to a hotel they had stayed at before.
