Vegas

Seven hour bus ride through the desert.  Arrived about 9pm, and the town was lit up.  Vegas is a lot bigger than I thought.  A full city, not just the famed 'Strip' (which in itself is a lot bigger than I had imagined).  Got a taxi out to our backpackers, which turned out to be miles from the strip, which Rees and I would find out the hard way.  Dropped our bags off, got a bite to eat and headed for the nearest casio keenly anticipating Vegas's framed free booze for gamblers.

Got to Lady Lucks, jumped onto the $3 Back Jack table and put Twenty bucks in each and ordered a burbon.  Played the table for a coupe of hours, drinking free burbon (not enough though) and ended up about $15 bucks down beween us, though at one stage we did get down to our last $3.  Jumped on the slot machines so we won't loose all our money (in fact got us almost back to even), but the drinks chick took too long so we decided to have a look at the strip.  Unfortuanly for us we didn't relise how far away the strip was.  Two hour walk later we had got to the start of it.  Went into one of the big casino's and saw a drinks chick coming to got onto the nearest BJ table.  $5 table, doesn't sound much, but you can go through a lot of money, while you wait 15 mins for a drink.  Again got down to my last $5, but fought back and by the time my drink arrived was $20 bucks up.  Left the table for a slot machine, got one more drink each and then left the casino.  By now it was about 5 in the morning so we started our walk home.  Got home in day light and crashed out.
