Sssshhhh, Old People

Left the Stellenbosch looking to start the garden route (sexually).  The Garden route being a strip of scenic coast line and mountains that goes for a several hundred kms.  Our first stop being the lagoon mounted town of Knysna.  The hostel we booked into was full of old people and when we hit the town (Thursday night) it was absolutly dead.  The "Tin Roof" music venue consisted of two guys at the bar, one guy working and the publican doing a sound check on stage.  When we said where we were staying, we were shouted a round of shots and introduced to the manager of the hostel (one of the guys at the bar).  I was a bit apprehensive that this drunk was the manager, but as soon as he offered us a joint and preceeded to tell us how he'd been smoking pot (12 joints a day) every day for the past 30 years, I no longer had any doubts.  Who better could we find to tell us where to go and what to do around Knysna.  So the next day we got him to mark some places on a local map.  Who would of thought they lead to nothing or dead ends.We did have a good day despite the directions of our stoned friend, with a walk out to a impresive rock jutted beach and a walk through Elephant Walk.  Which just should have been call Walk due to the lack of elephants. Hit the town that night to be promised a rocking night out at the night club, only to be greatly disappointed. Did run into some people we had met in Cape Town
