Creel to Los Mochis 10hr train
Los Mochis to Tepic 12hrs bus
Tepic to Puerto Vallarta 3 hrs local bus
Got to the hostel stinking, round 5pm, after about 30hrs of travelling in the hot Mexican weather. The bus trips were pretty straight forward, with the exception of "the incident" which a few of you have been tipped off about, the rest of you don't need to know. And the mental bus ride from the main bus terminal to the hostel, which continues to be the norm here in Puerto Vallarta. It turns out that are several private bus companies in the town. As a result, the competing buses race to each stop so that they pick up more passengers when they get there first. All the streets are coble stone, so there is no suspension left in the old buses. The result is a very fast, exciting, bumpy bus ride through town as the bus drivers keep the excellerator to the floor, overtaking other buses, only to take the foot off to slam on the brakes at a bus stop and pile in as many people as they can.
Had a well needed shower at the hostel and headed out to see what the town had to offer. It was dark by the time we got to the beach. It was quite romantic, Rees and I had a great time walking the beach holding hands, staring into each others eyes in the moon light.
Picked up some food and headed back to the hostel to hit the sack, very tired after the last day and a half travelling.
