Puerto Escondido - nowhere better

I've been putting off doing this post as there's too much to write about and I'd be repeating the words awesome, perfect and super cool too many times. So here's a bit of a summary of my two weeks in Escondido.     I arrived and found some accommodation in a cabaña (beach hut) for Aus$6, a stones throw from the water, not bad. Next day went looking for a surfboard and check the place out. Found some guy on the beach selling a board for 700 pesos. Found some really, really nice cabañas at la punta, a couple of k's out of town and moved out there to surf a small left hand break. After the hectic back packing, it was great to settle down for a bit and spend my days surfing and reading and nights in town, drinking cheap white rum and my new found best friend mezcal.     Made heaps of friends, both locals and tourists and a night out would usually result in me getting back to my cabaña 'round dawn.

wild dogs - ute rides to distant towns - world's best pork ribs - falling coconuts - 24hr Kebabs - night swimming - 1 peso tacos

All have a story behind them. But all good things must come to an end, so after some emotional goodbyes, me and my new found traveling buddies, Adian and Sam, took the edge off it and boarded the most luxurious bus I'll ever travel on, heading for Mexico City. Leaving behind me two of the coolest weeks of my life.
