Left Vegas at 11pm, 6 hour Greyhound Bus back to LA. Sat around bus terminal for a couple of hours waiting for our bus to Merced. Seven hours on the bus to Merced, got there about 3pm. Had to wait a couple of hours for another bus to our hostel in Yosamite so I went for a walk and then it happened. My trusty airwalks were pretty much knackered, I had blisters on my feet from walking around Vegas and I had been looking for a new pair. Been to one shoe shop, it had only two different pairs of airwalks and they were really expensive. There were about fifty different pairs of Vans and they were pretty cheap. I left that shop, and conceded that it looked like I was going to have to buy a pair of Vans. (For those that don't know, the only shoes I've worn for the last ten years have been airwalks).
So I was walking along and came across an Op shop, I walked in and sure enough there was a pair of basically brand new Airwalks, tried them on and they fitted perfectly. $US4 later and I was walking out in my new shoes ready to find Yogy bear.
