Back in Mexico

My aim was to make it too the coastal town of Puerto Arisa, which I new would be a good effort.  But by the time I got too Tonala there were no more buses.  It had been a long, crazy day of travelling.  When I had got to the Bus terminal in Quetzaltenango, had asked for a bus to the border town of Tecun which was meant to take 2 1/2hrs.  Two and a half hours later I arrived in a town that I assumed to be Tucan.  I got off the bus and tried to ask for the border.  After a bit of confusion, they put me on another bus.  This one took me to another border town, El Cameron, so I crossed there.  The usaul crazy scene getting off the bus, all the locals trying to help you with your bags, get you on their bike taxi's, sell stuff, change money.  Got a taxi thing, changed some money, got ripped off 100 pesos in all the confusion, and got to the actual border.  No problems at all getting accross the border and then onto the bus for the town of Tapachula.  Then onto a bus for Tonala.  Between the two bus rides, we had been stopped about 8 times by military check points and police check points.  During it, two guys got taken away by the police, another guy was able to talk his way out and the only gringo on the bus had received a bit of attension aswell (I was a little worried 'cause I had sort of breached my Mexican Visa because I had spent so much time in Guatemala).  Got into Tonala about 8:30pm, pretty tired after a long days travelling, too late too get a bus out to Puerto Arisa.  All the hotels in the tourist town were expremly expensive, found the cheapest one and with the help of some very bad spanish was able to get him down to 120 pesos.  Down to the cental park for some more virgin celibrations then to bed.
