Aussie's thrash Pakistanis

Woke up a little worse for wear after the previous nights drinking games.  Scammed a lift out to the Wanders stadium with Damian and Richard.  Beautiful day with the sun shinning.  Took a while to get into the ground with the high level of security.  Australia got off to a shakey start with the early wicket of Gilchrist.  After the wicket of Maher and Australia roughly 4/100 there was a question of what Australia's total was going to be.  Then entered Symonds, who looked a little rough early, but was quickly hitting the ball well and finding the boundary.Symonds played an excellent innings, in which he didn't give the Pakistanis any chance to get him out.  After the wicket of Hogg, Wonthaggi boy Harvey came in to help symonds put some runs on the board, with a very handy parnership.Harvey was caught off a disapointing shot for 24 off 22 balls.    With a couple of sixes (one falling just half a dozen rows directly in front of us) in the closing overs, Symonds finished on 145 and the Australian total a very healthy 310.  The Pakistanis never looked like getting close to Australia.  With the loss of early wickets and some very slow run scoring they had the South African members of the crowd (probably over half the people) booing them for their lack of endevour in making a game of it.  An absolutly blinder of a catch by Symonds kept the crownd interested.  With the entry of Akram the crowd was shown some big hitting with a six from him and 3 sixes off the bat of Rashid, one lucky to stay in the stadium.  A unbelivable catch by McGrath ended the Pakistan innings to have Australia convincing winners.
