Apprently "backing yourself" doesn't work when attempting to fly internationally. For some reason, I thought that I'd be able to rock up to Heathrow and jump on the next flight to South Africa for half the regular price. I was way off. The cheapest I could find was almost twice as expensive, £700. Not being able to afford this, I was a little worried that I would have to call off the SA trip. But thanks to my good friend "The Internet" (this one was on a computer!) I was introduced to everyone's favourite airline, Air Gabon. Not only did I pick up my return ticket for £390, but I also get to land in three other countries on the way!
